Rebel Recipes | Kick back and enjoy simple, delicious gametime snack: Hot Pepper Jelly Dip

OXFORD, Miss — I can’t believe we are at the conclusion of the regular season, and what a long, strange trip it’s been. Even more strange is that the Egg Bowl is on Friday instead of Thursday. I know nobody wants to cook on Friday after the Thursday feast, so I have a simple, delicious gametime snack recipe.

On a serious note, I am so thankful for my Ole Miss family. I am thankful for our players, as well. Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season with great memories (and hopefully the college football playoffs)! GTHMSU!

Hot Pepper Jelly Dip

Ingredients

-2 blocks of softened cream cheese (8 oz each)
-1 cup grated Vermont sharp white cheddar cheese
-3/4 cup precooked bacon, chopped
-1 cup pepper jelly

Directions

1) Heat oven to 400°
2)Beat cheeses and bacon with a hand mixer until whipped.
3) Put in greased 8×8 baking dish, and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
4)Microwave the jelly for about 30-45 seconds until slightly runny and warm. Pour and spread over the cheese mixture, and serve.  Serve with Wheat Thins.
