Ole Miss moves up five spots in this week’s College Football Playoff Rankings following Rebels’ win over Georgia
OXFORD, Miss. — The second College Football Playoff rankings for the season were released this evening, and Ole Miss comes in at No. 11, a jump of five spots for the Rebels after they soundly defeated Georgia, 28-10, Saturday in Oxford.

Last week in the initial rankings, Ole Miss was No. 16, and tonight’s rise puts the Rebels squarely in contention for a spot in the newly expanded 12-team playoff.
There are nine SEC teams in this week’s rankings: Texas (3), Tennessee (7), Alabama (10), Ole Miss (11), Georgia (12), A&M (15), South Carolina (21), LSU (22), and Missouri (23).

Rankings Release Dates
Throughout the 2024-25 College Football Playoff season, there will be weekly playoff rankings shows to give us a look at where things stand. Following tonight’s rankings, the CFP will release through the sixth and final reveal on Sunday, December 8 (Selection Sunday).
