Postgame Notables: No. 18 Ole Miss defeats Oklahoma, 26-14

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss defeated Oklahoma, 26-14, in Vaught-Hemingway Saturday in front of a record crowd. Here are your notables from the game.

Captains

Starters

• QB Jaxson Dart made his team-leading 32nd-straight start against Oklahoma.
• Other notable starting streaks include S Trey Washington (23rd), S John Saunders Jr. (21st) and TE Caden Prieskorn (18th).
• TE Dae’Quan Wright made his first start as a Rebel and the ninth overall of his career alongside eight prior starts at Virginia Tech.

General Notables

• Attendance for today’s game was 67,926, the largest crowd in Vaught-Hemingway history. It’s the third consecutive week the Ole Miss attendance record has been reset.
• With the victory, fifth-year head coach Lane Kiffin is now the fastest coach to 40 wins in Ole Miss football history … Kiffin is 40-17 at Ole Miss, reaching 40 wins in 57 games – three ahead of John Vaught’s 60 games (40-16-3).
• Kiffin is also now only the fourth coach in Ole Miss history to reach the 40-win plateau, joining Vaught (190-61-12), Billy Brewer (67-56-3) and David Cutcliffe (44-29).
• Ole Miss is now 25-6 at home under Kiffin, which includes an 11-1 streak since the beginning of the 2023 campaign.

Offensive Notables

• With the win, senior QB Jaxson Dart (24-9) ties Eli Manning (24-13) and Bo Wallace (24-15) for the most wins as a starting quarterback at Ole Miss in the modern era (since 1968).
• Dart ended the day 22-of-30 for 311 yards and one touchdown passing, along with 24 yards rushing on eight carries.
• Dart (10,243) eclipsed 10,000 yards of total offense in his Ole Miss career, passing Eli Manning (9,984) for second and becoming just the second Rebel alongside Bo Wallace (10,478) with at least 10,000 yards of total offense.
• Dart (9,033) became the third Ole Miss quarterback to tally over 9,000 passing yards in their career, joining Manning & Wallace.
• Today marked Dart’s 12th career 300-yard passing game as a Rebel, tying Jordan Ta’amu and Chad Kelly for the all-time Ole Miss record.
• Dart (58), also moved into sole possession of third on the Rebels all-time passing touchdowns list, with one on the day.
• RB Henry Parrish tallied the 25th rushing touchdown of his career at 12:36 in the first quarter.
• Parrish also moved into the top-20 all-time in total rushing yards at Ole Miss, tallying 44 on the day.
• TE Caden Prieskorn (102) passed the 100 career reception mark on Saturday, hauling in five receptions.
• With his third quarter touchdown, Prieskorn (six) moved into a tie for seventh on the all-time list at Ole Miss amongst tight ends.
• DE JJ Pegues scored his fifth rushing touchdown of the season and sixth overall touchdown of his career.

Defensive Notables

• The Rebel defense finished with a season-high nine sacks, including six in the second half … Nine sacks in a game is the most for the program since recording nine in a win over Liberty on November 6, 2021.
• Ole Miss ended with 15 tackles for loss, its most in an SEC game since charting 17 against Mississippi State on Nov. 23, 2000.
• The 79 yards lost forced by the Rebel defense stand as the most by any Ole Miss squad since bruising Mississippi State for 120 on Nov. 28, 2008.
• The 60 yards lost on sacks also ranks as the most by Ole Miss since that very same game, when the Rebels sacked State for a loss of 110 yards total.
• DE Suntarine Perkins recorded 11 tackles and a career-high 5.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks … Those 5.0 TFL are the most since Khari Coleman notched 5.0 against Troy to open the 2022 season.
• LB Chris Paul Jr. led all Rebels with 12 tackles, which ties his overall career-high set at Arkansas (vs. Mississippi State, 2023) and sets an Ole Miss career-high … Paul also had 2.0 TFL.
• DE Princely Umanmielen has now tallied at least one sack in his last three games played … Up to 5.5 on the season.
• DE Jared Ivey now has 6.0 sacks on the season and at least one in two of his last three games … Ivey forced and recovered his first fumble of the season.
• Ivey has tied Dewayne Dotson for ninth all-time at Ole Miss with 15.0 career sacks.
• S John Saunders Jr. finished with a season-high nine tackles.

Special Team Notables

• K Caden Davis has now tallied at least one made field in his last eight games, dating back to 2023.
• P Fraser Masin had a season-long 64-yard punt, his longest since his career-high 65-yarder at LSU in 2022 … He averaged 53 yards in four punts.
