Ole Miss Wide Receiver Tre Harris Makes ESPN’s Midseason Top 25 Players List

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris continues to garner national attention, most recently making ESPN’s Midseason Top 25 players list this week.

Harris comes in ranked No. 7 on the list of the nation’s best. Preseason, ESPN had Harris at No. 38.

Here’s what ESPN’s Chris Low had to say when ranking Harris:

Easily one of the country’s most productive and explosive receivers during the first half of the season, Harris already has 59 catches and is averaging 16.7 yards per catch. He has been dynamic after the catch and leads all FBS receivers with 462 yards after the catch. The 6-3 210-pounder also leads the country with 11 receptions of 30 yards or longer. Despite being less than 100 percent, Harris caught seven passes for 102 yards last week in the overtime loss to LSU, including an incredible 15-yard touchdown. It was his sixth TD of the season.

Even though he has missed time due to injury, Harris still leads all wide receivers in the nation with 987 yards on 59 catches. And as ESPN notes, he also owns a nation-leading 462 yards after the catch.

In this touchdown catch against LSU last weekend, Harris shows why he’s the best receiver in the country.

Harris, who is currently the top-rated FBS wide receiver per PFF College at a grade of 90.1, also leads the SEC in receptions per game (8.4) and receiving touchdowns (6).
