BREAKING | Coach Yo, Ole Miss Hosting Top ’25 Prospect on Official Visit

OXFORD, Miss. –– Ole Miss women’s basketball recruiting continues to heat up. Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin isn’t wasting any time with the contact period that started at the beginning of the month. The Rebels are currently hosting top 2025 G Lauren Jacobs for an official visit this weekend.

Jacobs received an offer from Ole Miss back in June of 2023. This visit won’t be her first time on Ole Miss’s campus, either.

A four-star prospect, Jacobs is a 5’9 guard from Columbia, South Carolina where she plays for Heathwood Hall Episcopal School. She is currently the No. 1 rated prospect in the state of South Carolina. Drawing national recognition, Jacobs is currently ranked No. 89 in the ESPNW Top 100 recruiting rankings for the Class of 2025.

As a junior last year at Heathwood Hall, Jacobs averaged 31.5 PPG in 23 contests per MaxPreps. She also averaged 7.0 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 2.1 assits per game. Over the four years of varsity basketball she has played, Jacobs has averaged a career 20.2 PTS, 6.2 REB, and 3.5 STL per game. She has led the Highlanders to back-to-back 4A SCISA State Titles.

On the travel circuit, Jacobs plays for the A’ja Wilson Elite. She really impressed this past offseason at the Phenom Lady Rumble in Rock Hill, SC. As a player, Jacobs is an athletic lead guard with scoring ability. She uses her ability to drive and kick at an elite level and has the ability to score one-on-one, as well as off the ball. Recently, Jacobs was invited to the Wooten Top-150 camp in Las Vegas.

Jacobs has taken a visit to Georgia. She has visits scheduled with Auburn, Florida, Penn State and Clemson. Recently, she picked up an offer from South Carolina. On August 26th, Jacobs released a top-10 that also Virginia Tech, Marquette and Mississippi State.
