AP Releases Preseason Top 25 Rankings: Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels in at No. 6
OXFORD, Miss. — The Associated Press released its preseason Top 25 Poll rankings on Monday and Ole Miss landed at No. 6 in the nation. This is the highest preseason ranking for the Rebels since 1970 when they started the year at No. 5 with Archie Manning at the helm.
Ole Miss is coming off a historic season in 2023 as the team went 11-2, earning the most wins in program history.
Last week, the Rebels found themselves at No. 6 in the country in the preseason Coaches Poll Top 25.
There are nine SEC teams in the AP Top 25 Poll with Georgia ranked No. 1. The SEC teams in the poll include: Georgia (1), Texas (4), Alabama (5), Ole Miss (6), Missouri (11), LSU (13), Tennessee (15), Oklahoma (16), and A&M (20).
