Ole Miss pitcher Liam Doyle set to enter the transfer portal
OXFORD, Miss. – The transfer portal struggles of Ole Miss baseball continued today when the Rebels’ left-handed pitcher Liam Doyle entered the portal, joining several other pitchers including Grayson Saunier, JT Quinn, Kyler Carmack, and others. The news was first reported by Chase Parham.
Over this past season, Doyle’s pitching performances became a bright spot in the Ole Miss rotation, which struggled at times. He finished the season pitching 55 total innings with a 5.73 earned run average and a 3-4 record. On the flip side, Doyle led the team by striking out 84 batters, over 30 more than the next pitcher with the second-most Ks.
Liam Doyle, out dogging the dogs

There is no doubt the southpaw has major-league potential, featuring a fastball, change-up, and curveball mix that looked unhittable at several points throughout the year. Despite pitching the majority of Saturdays for the Rebs, I would expect to see Doyle emerge as a Friday night candidate at whichever school he may end up at. There is no doubt this one stings for Ole Miss.
