Ole Miss baseball adds Illinois transfer Ryan Moerman
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss baseball has added another transfer to the team as Illinois junior transfer outfielder Ryan Moerman announced his commitment Tuesday afternoon via his Instagram story.
In 2024, Moerman hit .259 with 19 home runs and 53 RBI. Those 19 homers were a team-high for the Second-Team All Big Ten player.
Moerman notched four hits in Illinois’ NCAA Regional game against Indiana State.

Moerman, who spent three years with Illinois, finished his career there with a cumulative batting average of .276 with 124 hits, 31 home runs and 104 RBI. Defensively, Moerman’s fielding percentage was .990 last season.
He will join three other transfers, as of now, who have announced they are headed to Oxford: catcher Collin Reuter (BYU), RHP Will McCausland (St. Joseph), and shortstop Luke Cheng (Illinois State).
The Rebels have 13 players from the 2024 team who have entered the transfer portal:
RHP Gabe Smith – Transferring to Missouri State
