Rebs stay hot; Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss receive commitment from offensive tackle Taren Hedrick
OXFORD, Miss. – It’s been a rather successful week for the Rebels and Ole Miss offensive line coach John Garrison, as the Rebels received their second commitment in a week from a 2025 offensive tackle in Taren Hedrick. Hedrick announced his commit Sunday afternoon via X, formerly known as Twitter.

Hedrick joins 2025 Kenneth Boston, a 6-foot-8, 300-lb offensive tackle from Rayville (Louisiana) committed earlier this week after camping in Oxford.
Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 305 pounds, Hedrick was a major target for several SEC schools, including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Mizzou, and others.
After glancing at his film, it’s clear that the Naples, Florida native possesses quite a few skills that will translate immediately into the SEC. Hedrick has a very quick first step off the line of scrimmage and is a force to be reckoned with in the run game.

Additionally, Ole Miss is getting a player who seemingly never stops until the whistle is blown. Hedrick often finds himself in the second level of defense, eliminating linebackers and safeties from the play to pave a clear path for his running back. He uses every ounce of strength to his advantage and will be a fantastic protector for the Rebel quarterback of the future.
The Columbia, Mo., native will spend his senior year of high school playing for the Community School Of Naples.
Hedrick is the Rebels’ 11th commitment of the 2025 cycle.
