OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss fans awakened to a shark emoji tweet from defensive coordinator Pete Golding Thursday morning, serving notice that a defensive commitment was soon forthcoming. Not long after, the Rebels received a commit from 2025 three-star defensive lineman Corey Adams, Jr.
A Louisiana native, Adams chose Ole Miss over: LSU, A&M, Southern Cal, Oregon, TCU, Miami, Mississippi State, Houston, Georgia Tech, Tulane, UCF, Troy and others.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive lineman was first offered by Coach Golding and Ole Miss back in May, 2023.
He ranks as the No. 72 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 27 overall recruit at any position in the state of Louisiana. He is a rising senior at Edna Kerr High School who also plays basketball.
Adams joins the Rebels’ other 2025 commits: RB Akylin Dear, Safety Keon Young, ATH Jarcoby Hopson, DL Andrew Maddox, LB Talib Graham, OT Taren Hedrick, CB Maison Dunn, OT Kenneth Boston and TE Hayden Bradley.
