Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart set to return to Manning Passing Academy

OXFORD, Miss. — The Manning family is known around the country as the “first-family” of exceptional quarterbacks. And when the Manning Passing Academy (MPA) — led by Archie, Eli, Peyton and Cooper Manning — takes place next month in Louisiana, the legendary family will be on hand to help mentor the best of the best who will be in attendance as campers and counselors.

Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart will be one of the nation’s top quarterbacks on hand in the role of counselor at the camp at Nicholls State in Thibodaux, Louisiana June 27-30. A total of 45 college QBs will be in attendance to mentor and work with the younger athletes.

Dart, set to enter his third season starting for the Rebels, will be a counselor at the MPA for the second year in a row. The Rebel quarterback helped lead Ole Miss to the first 11-win season in school history last year, culminating with a Peach Bowl win over No. 8-ranked Penn State to finish 11-2.

Last month at a Grove Collective meet-and-greet, Dart and Eli Manning were on hand to take questions from fans. The Super Bowl winner praised Dart and offered his thoughts on the 2024 season.

I want (Dart) to break – he’s probably broken all my records – I want him to break all of them. I want him to go have a big year and go get that SEC Championship.

Dart has thrown for 6,338 yards and 52 total touchdowns thus far in Oxford, and he is looking to add more and break a number of records along the way to what many experts believe will be an appearance in the 12-team College Football Playoffs.

The 28th Manning Passing Academy will have approximately 1,500 campers in 8th grade through 12th grade, who will be paired with some of the best quarterbacks in college football.

From what we have learned thus far, there are ten SEC quarterbacks who are expected to participate as instructors at this year’s MPA. They are as follows:

  • Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss)
  • Carson Beck (Georgia)
  • Brady Cook (Missouri)
  • Jalen Milroe (Alabama)
  • Garrett Nussmeier (LSU)
  • Quinn Ewers (Texas)
  • Arch Manning (Texas)
  • Graham Mertz (Florida)
  • Jackson Arnold (Oklahoma)
  • Blake Shapen (Mississippi State)

That is a preview of a very strong signal-caller group that fans will see on the gridiron this coming season. The Rebel Walk will be on hand at the MPA and bring you all the latest. Hotty Toddy!
