Transfer to the Sip: Coach Yo receives portal commitment from Michigan State transfer DeeDee Hagemann

OXFORD, Miss. — Transfer portal season is underway in women’s college basketball, and for Ole Miss head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin, that means it is time to reload her roster. Coach Yo has officially received her first commitment, coming from DeeDee Hagemann, a Michigan native transferring from Michigan State University.

The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 12.3 points per game, 2.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists while shooting 51 percent from the field for the Spartans. Most impressively, Hagemenn set a school record, led the Big 10 with a 2.84 assist/turnover ratio, and earned Second-Team Big 10 Honors.

DeeDee will join Team 50 with one year of eligibility remaining while looking to provide high energy and tremendous talent to an experienced, versatile guard room. This is likely the first of many crucial additions for Coach Yo and the Rebs.
