Ole Miss legend AJ Brown makes NFL history, becoming highest-paid wide receiver
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss legend AJ Brown made history Thursday night, becoming the highest-paid NFL wide receiver in the history of the game.
In addition to his original contract, which guaranteed Brown $84 million, he signed a three-year extension worth $94 million with the Philadelphia Eagles, keeping him under contract through 2029.
Sources: The #Eagles and star WR AJ Brown agreed to terms on a new 3-year extension for $96M, the highest for any WR in NFL history. He’s now under contract thru 2029 & his total guarantee of $84M is also the highest.

Though there weren’t many players to pass, Brown will now make more than Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, and Cooper Kupp.
Prior to his NFL success, Brown became Ole Miss’ all-time leading receiver with 2,984 yards while recording the most 100-yard receiving games (12) and collecting 189 receptions, the third most in program history.
After three years in red and blue (2016–2018), the Starkville native was drafted in the second round of the NFL draft in 2019. Since then, AJ has hauled in over 1,000 receiving yards in four of his five years in the league.
Between all of his seasons in the NFL, he averages 15.7 yards per catch and nearly nine touchdowns per year. It’s safe to say that Brown’s payday is very well deserved.
