Cunningham is rated as the nation’s No. 2 wide receiver and the No. 1 player from the state of Mississippi. Back on January 29, the 6-foot-3, 180-pounder released his list of top 12 schools, including: Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Georgia Tech.
As for his upcoming spring visits, you’ll notice Cunningham did not list Mississippi State, but according to his Twitter, he will be in Starkville “multiple times” due to the fact that he lives in Ackerman, a mere 30 minutes away from the campus. Bulldogs head coach Jeff Lebby and his staff have been spotted at several of Cunningham’s high school basketball games.
But you can be sure head coach Lane Kiffin and staff are in the thick of Cunningham’s recruitment, and as the NCAA recruiting dead period ends on March 3, Cunningham will arrive in Oxford March 4.
Regardless of where Caleb stands right now, he has the potential to play at any school in the country, and there is no doubt his recruitment will go all the way down until signing day.
