Sources: Nation’s No. 1-Ranked Transfer WR Antwane ‘Juice’ Wells set to visit Ole Miss
OXFORD, Miss. — Lane Kiffin and the Rebs are looking to continue their hot streak in the transfer portal as it appears highly-sought after South Carolina transfer Antwane “Juice” Wells is set to make a visit to Ole Miss this weekend.
Sources had initially indicated that Wells, the No. 1-ranked wide receiver in the transfer portal according to On3, would be taking a visit to Tennessee this weekend, but that soon changed and the new plan appeared to be to visit the Texas Longhorns and the Rebels, both, over the weekend. Now, there are reports Wells will be in Oxford and perhaps not Austin this weekend, although he certainly could visit any of those at at point.
Juice Wells will not be visiting Texas this weekend, a source tells @On3sports.
I reported the wideout would be making a stop on campus this weekend. Those plans have changed. The visit could be pushed back, but that is uncertain, per @BobbyBurton87.https://t.co/7RtjdNyzHX pic.twitter.com/KNAMN2cCcZ

The Rebels already added the nation’s No. 1 JUCO player in the country, wide receiver Deion Smith, earlier this week. In their current wide receiver room, the Rebs are looking to maintain Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins, who each have a year of eligibility remaining. With their futures unknown and Dayton Wade declaring for the draft, Wells’ addition would be huge.
Wells announced on December 3rd his plans to leave South Carolina and enter the transfer portal. The grad transfer will have two years of eligibility and already has four years of Division One experience under his belt.

The 6-foot-1 pass-catcher started his first two years at James Madison University, where he then transferred to South Carolina after his second season at JMU, which consisted of over 1,000 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns.
In 2022 at South Carolina, Wells led the Gamecocks in receptions, yards, and receiving touchdowns.

Going into this past season, Wells was named a preseason All-American and was poised to have another incredible year before the NFL draft, where he likely would have been a high pick. Unfortunately, he suffered a season-ending foot injury after scoring a touchdown against Georgia in Week 3 of the 2023 season.
Fast forward to December, and Juice is looking for a fresh start where he can again display his ability before hopefully entering the NFL draft.
As mentioned above, arguably the best wide receiver in the portal was rumored to be visiting Steve Sarkisian and the playoff-bound Lonhorns this weekend — until reports stated he has delayed his visit, meaning he will spend his entire weekend in Oxford.
On the visit, Juice will be joined by seven 2024 Ole Miss high school commits alongside two other transfers, offensive tackle Carter Smith and linebacker Chris Paul Jr. Based on the delay of his Texas visit, fans should keep a sharp eye out for all news regarding the stud receiver this weekend.
