Prieskorn, who transferred from Memphis before last season, suffered an injury in fall camp and was forced to sit out until the Rebs played Alabama in Tuscaloosa. One game later, against LSU, Prieskorn’s abilities were put on display when he caught three passes for 41 yards.
His presence was also felt at Jordan-Hare as Ole Miss defeated Auburn in a very hostile environment.

And in the Egg Bowl, there’s no mistaking Prieskorn’s impact.

This season, Prieskorn finished with 20 receptions for 313 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 15.6 yards per catch.
On top of his talent as a receiver, Prieskorn’s impact in the blocking game is something that played a crucial role, especially in the run game. Head coach Lane Kiffin commented on what it means to have his tight end in the lineup.
“I think Prieskorn makes a difference. I know he does. (He’s a) big physical tight end, and I just think that we’re hitting the runs better from the running back position and being patient. Then we’re doing a better job up front, so that kind of is an obvious (answer), but I think Prieskorn’s been a big difference.”

Kiffin describes Caden as a next-level tight end.
“He’s a very big physical NFL-type TE. He’s more of an every-down NFL-type tight end.“

Coach Kiffin also talked about the type of person Prieskorn is, as the young man suffered the loss of his father during the season after to a lengthy battle with cancer.
Ole Miss TE Caden Prieskorn’s dad died in October.
Tonight in the Rebels’ 17-7 win, he scored a TD to put his team up by 10.
