OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss has received its fourth commit of the day, this time from 2024 offensive lineman Kavion Broussard, who was committed to Miami (FL) all the way up until December 15th. Kavion took a visit to Ole Miss this weekend, and evidently things went well for the Rebels and offensive line coach John Garrison.
Broussard joins Tennessee transfers Tyler Baron and Tamarion McDonald and 2024 QB Anthony Maddox who all committed to the Rebels Saturday.
Broussard, a three-star prospect out of Zachary, Louisiana, is rated as the nation’s No. 52 offensive tackle and the No. 18 player in the state of Louisiana’s 2024 class per the 247Sports Composite index.
Broussard possesses great size, standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing in at 276 pounds. The tackle attended Zachary High School, where he helped lead his team in an impressive playoff run, finishing second in state. Following the conclusion of their season, Kavion was recognized as an all-state player.
Broussard took on an unofficial visit to Ole Miss earlier this year to see the Rebs defeat Texas A&M in a thrilling game and used his official visit this weekend. The Rebels offered Broussard on November 10.
During his recruitment, Kavion has also received offers from Florida State, Texas Tech, Missouri, Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Louisiana, Mississippi State, TCU, and Tulane, among others.
Between his size and physicality, there is no doubt that Ole Miss may have just received a commit from a future stud on the offensive line.
