The 75th anniversary Senior Bowl takes place Feb. 3 at Hancock Whitney Stadium on the South Alabama campus in Mobile, Alabama. The game is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process.
Cedric, this year’s Chucky Mullins Courage Award Winner, still has a year of eligibility remaining (due to COVID) if he chooses; however, it appears he will be declaring for the draft as if he plays in the Senior Bowl, he will not return to Ole Miss for that final season.
In four seasons with the Rebels, Cedric has amassed 111 tackles, 56 of which were solo, recovered two fumbles, forced one fumble and tallied 19 sacks.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Johnson, a Davidson High School graduate, has totaled 40 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and 12 quarterback hurries for the Rebels in 2023.
The 2024 Senior Bowl, sponsored for the first time this year by the NFL Players Association, kicks off at noon on Feb. 3, and NFL Network will televise the game live.
