Schedule Notables
Ole Miss begins the season with four straight non-conference games, followed by eight straight SEC games with two bye weekends. One of those byes comes between the LSU and Oklahoma games, followed by another between the Georgia and Florida games.
Ole Miss will be tested by facing Oklahoma and Georgia at home while going on the road against South Carolina, LSU, and Florida, three of the most hostile environments in the entire nation.
Furthermore, the South Carolina and LSU games fall on back-to-back weekends. As fans know, the Rebs were undefeated in the Vaught last season, and with the upcoming schedule that will be an even greater test in 2024.
Additionally, note that the Egg Bowl appears to be set on Saturday instead of on Thanksgiving. However, Ole Miss Athletics Director Keith Carter has said that is subject to change.
With the addition of Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC for 2024, it is almost guaranteed that every single team will have a much more challenging schedule than they did in 2023.
