Has the Ole Miss 2024 Football Schedule Been Leaked? Take a look…

OXFORD, Miss. — The Ole Miss 2024 football schedule, which will not officially be released until Wednesday, December 13, might have actually been mailed out to alumni from the Ole Miss Alumni Association a little ahead of plan.

The Rebel Walk has obtained copies of the schedule, and there is much to note. Please keep in mind, however, that this is not a schedule that has been released by either the Ole Miss Athletics Department or the Southeastern Conference. So, until that point when it is “officially” released next Wednesday, don’t make any plans based on it.

Note: Specifically, don’t make your Egg Bowl plans just yet. Although the schedule that was sent out does show the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Keith Carter, has indicated the date for the Egg Bowl in Oxford for 2024 has not yet been set.

Nevertheless, here is the schedule, below, that was mailed out. The dates and matchups for next season are as follows:

HOME games in bold

8/31 – Furman

9/7 – Middle Tennessee

9/14 – @ Wake Forest

9/21 – Georgia Southern

9/28 – Kentucky

10/5 – @ South Carolina

10/12 – @ LSU

10/26 – Oklahoma

11/2 – @ Arkansas

11/9 – Georgia

11/23 – @ Florida

11/28 – Mississippi State

Ole Miss begins the season, apparently, with four straight non-conference games, followed by eight straight SEC games with two bye weekends. One of those byes comes between the LSU and Oklahoma games, followed by another between the Georgia and Florida games.

Ole Miss will be tested by facing Oklahoma and Georgia at home while going on the road against South Carolina, LSU, and Florida, three of the most hostile environments in the entire nation.

Furthermore, the South Carolina and LSU games fall on back-to-back weekends. As fans know, the Rebs were undefeated in the Vaught last season, and with the upcoming schedule that will be an even greater test in 2024.

Rumors indicate that the annual homecoming game will fall on September 28 against the Kentucky Wildcats. Additionally, note that the Egg Bowl appears to be set for Thanksgiving day (or night), yet again next season. Further, Ole Miss will play the Egg Bowl on a short week coming off a road trip to Florida.

With the addition of Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC for 2024, it is almost guaranteed that every single team will have a much more challenging schedule than they did in 2023.

To confirm the dates for the 2024 schedule, make sure you tune in next Wednesday night on ESPN and SEC Network. Hotty Toddy!
