Ole Miss Men’s Tennis Duo Travels to ITA National Fall Championships
SAN DIEGO, Calif. –The Ole Miss men’s tennis team will be sending a pair of Rebels off to San Diego from Nov. 1-5, as Niokla Slavic and Lukas Engelhardt will be taking their talents out west for the fall season finale after qualifying for the 2023 ITA National Fall Championships.
Finishing as runners-up in doubles at the ITA Southern Regional Championships two weeks ago, Slavic and Engelhardt received automatic bids into the 32-team doubles field in San Diego.

Friday, November 3rd – first match 12 pm (CT), last match 6:30 pm (CT)
Saturday, November 4th – first match 12 pm (CT), last match 5 pm (CT)
Sunday, November 5th – first match 12 pm (CT), last match 4 pm (CT)
*1 pm (CT) start for main draw singles semifinals and finals, doubles will follow

Nikola Slavic (Sr.) – Stockholm, Sweden
- 2023 ITA Southern Regional Doubles Runner-Up alongside Engelhardt
- Ranked No. 8 in doubles by the ITA with Engelhardt
- Holds a 9-3 doubles record with Lukas Engelhardt in the 2023 fall season
- Entered 2023 fall season ranked No. 34 in singles by the ITA
- Defeated Ohio State’s 10th-ranked Alexander Bernard at ITA All-Americans
Lukas Engelhardt (Sr.) – Augsburg, Germany
- 2023 ITA Southern Regional Doubles Runner-Up alongside Slavic
- Ranked No. 8 in doubles by the ITA with Slavic
- Holds a 9-3 doubles record with Slavic in the 2023 fall season
- NCAA Doubles Championships alternate with partner Slavic
- Concluded the 2022-23 season with a 17-19 singles record and 18-8 doubles record
SLAVIC AND ENGELHARDT RIDE HOT STREAK INTO SAN DIEGO
The upperclassmen duo of Slavic and Engelhardt blazed their way through the ITA Southern Region Championship field earlier in the fall season, stringing together five wins in the tournament’s doubles bracket to reach the regional finals. This will be the second consecutive year that there will be a doubles pairing representing the Rebels in San Diego, with John Hallquist Lithen and Simon Junk also securing a spot last year.
BUSY WEEKEND AHEAD FOR MEN’S TENNIS SQUAD
Slavic and Engelhardt won’t be the only ones competing this week to close out the fall season for Ole Miss men’s tennis, as Lithen and Noah Schloganhauf traveled to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the ITF Future Fayetteville pro tournament. The tournament is set to run Oct. 30-Nov. 5 taking place at the Razorback’s home courts at the Billingsley Tennis Center.
