Ta’amu, who has played for the AAF, the USFL and both go-rounds of the XFL, worked out for the Vikings back on June 1. This will be his eighth NFL stint since 2019, as he’s gone from the Texans to the Chiefs to the Lions to the Chiefs to the Lions to the Commanders to the Panthers.
Currently, Kirk Cousins is QB1 for Minnesota, while Nick Mullens is the primary backup, and rookie Jaren Hall is the third-string/developmental prospect.
While at Ole Miss, Ta’amu broke the all-time school record for 400-yard passing games (4). He tied Chad Kelly’s Ole Miss record in 300-yard passing games (12).
Ta’amu also finished his career ranking sixth all-time with 5,600 career passing yards, and he threw for 30 touchdowns, which ranks him ninth in Ole Miss history.
Congrats to Jordan!
