Brakefield and Caldwell join Matthew Murrell as key returners from this past year’s team.
Murrell started in 29 of his 30 games last year and led the Rebels with 14.4 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game. He notched a team-high 79 assists and 34 steals.
In his freshman year, Caldwell averaged 4.7 PPG, 1.6 RPG, and 1.2 APG. Caldwell hit a stride in late February when he notched back to back twelve-point outings against Oklahoma State (1/28) and Kentucky (1/31).
Brakefield was one of the more efficient players for the Rebels this past season and has started 56 of 65 games for the Rebels in two seasons.
On the year, Brakefield averaged 11.1 PPG and 5.7 RPG on the year. Things began to click more and more for Brakefield as he logged three 20+ point games in February.
