Ole Miss headed to Texas Bowl, will play Texas Tech
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss is headed to the Lone Star State to play in the TaxAct Texas Bowl. The Rebels will play Big 12 opponent Texas Tech on Wednesday, December 28 at 8:00 p.m. at NRG Stadium in Houston.

The Rebels learned their bowl destination Sunday following the end of the regular season and Saturday’s conference championship games.
Ole Miss ended the regular season 8-4, 4-4 (SEC), while Texas Tech finished 7-5 overall, 5-4 in league play.
Last season, the Red Raiders won the Liberty Bowl after defeating Mississippi State, 34-7.
Ole Miss is 3-0 in bowl games against Tech, having last defeated the Red Raiders, 47-34, in the 2009 Cotton Bowl. The Rebels also beat Texas Tech in the 1998 Independence Bowl, 35-18, and won the 1986 Independence Bowl, 20-17.
