Ole Miss Debuts at No. 11 in Initial College Football Playoff Rankings
Oxford, Miss. – It’s that time of year again. College football fans waited anxiously on Tuesday night as the first college football playoff rankings were released. Ole Miss, who has catapulted into the national conversation the last two seasons, found itself ranked at No. 11 in the initial poll.
The Rebels are in the midst of a bye week, awaiting a much-anticipated matchup with Alabama on November 12th. The Crimson Tide enters the initial playoff poll at No. 6. The Tide will be in action this weekend, facing No. 10 LSU.
The top four spots, the most important spots in the poll, featured No. 4 Clemson, No. 3 Georgia, No. 2 Ohio State, and No. 1 Tennessee. The Volunteers and Bulldogs will meet this weekend in perhaps the biggest game of the season so far.

Ole Miss and Alabama will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 12th. The game will air on CBS. Depending on the matchup results between Alabama and LSU, the contest between the Rebels and Crimson Tide could potentially decide the SEC West.
