Carolina traded up to take Corral, making him the main competition for Sam Darnold for the starting job. The Panthers then traded for Baker Mayfield on July 6, after he previously spent the prior four seasons with the Browns.
Last year, Corral led Ole Miss to ten regular-season wins — the most in school history — and a Sugar Bowl Berth.
The Ventura, California native started all 13 games for Ole Miss in 2022, and he threw for 3,349 yards with 20 touchdowns through the air. He added 614 yards rushing and 11 TDs on the ground.
Panthers players report to training camp on July 26, and the first practice is the following day. You can see the entire training camp practice schedule here.
