BATON ROUGE, La. — Justin Bench took the very first pitch of the game Sunday deep to the wall for a leadoff double, and that set the tone for Ole Miss as the Rebels won game three over LSU, 8-5, to sweep the Tigers at Alex Box Stadium.
The win marked Ole Miss’ first-ever three-game road sweep of LSU. The Rebels have claimed back-to-back series victories in Baton Rouge for the first time since 1964-65.
After the game, Peyton Chatagnier, Justin Bench, and Brandon Johnson spoke with media about the historic weekend. Here’s what they had to say.
