Campbell stayed in his home state to play for Maryland after starring at Calvert Hall High School. He played in 11 games as a reserve in 2018 (10 tackles) and was quite productive the following season (54 tackles, 4.5 for loss, one interception, four pass break-ups).

Campbell garnered honorable mention All-Big Ten honors in 2020, leading the team with 43 stops and 5.5 tackles for loss (with 1.5 sacks).
The 6’2” Campbell helped turn around an Ole Miss defense in one season.
He transferred to Ole Miss as a graduate student in 2021, eventually leading the team with 109 tackles, 12.5 for loss, with six sacks in 13 starts and tying for third in the country with three fumble recoveries.
Another hidden gem is Chance Campbell. 6’2 and 3/8” tall and 238 lbs, but still ran a 4.57 (top 10 among LBs this draft). He’s excellent on the blitz, shooting gaps, and in a spy role. Always in position, easily the team’s best tackler and play finisher. pic.twitter.com/Rys0e1Qm6I
