VIDEO: Derek Diamond, Justin Bench talk Rebs’ 8-1 win over Texas
Ole Miss pitcher Derek Diamond and center fielder Justin Bench spoke with media after the Rebels’ 8-1 win over Texas in the College Baseball Showdown.
Diamond was excellent, going 6.0 innings on the mound while striking out 8 and allowing just one run on four hits. He threw 86 pitches — 60 of which were strikes.
In the fifth inning, Bench had a huge hit that scored Tim Elko and Kevin Graham to give Ole Miss a 5-1 lead.
