2021 Ole Miss Football Scheduled Released
The Southeastern Conference released the 2021 football schedule Wednesday afternoon. Ole Miss opens the season September 6 against Louisville in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic in Atlanta.
The Rebels play their first home game September 11 against Austin Peay, followed by a home game September 18 against Tulane and a September 25th open date.
The Rebels open the month of October traveling to Alabama (Oct. 2) for its SEC opener, followed by home contest vs. Arkansas (Oct. 9).
Head coach Lane Kiffin and company will travel to Knoxville to take on the Vols on October 16 before returning home to host LSU on October 23. Ole Miss concludes October with a trip to Auburn for an October 30th game against the Tigers.
The Rebels open November in the friendly confines of Vaught-Hemingway as they play three straight games at home: a non-conference matchup vs. Liberty on November 6; a contest versus A&M on November 13; and a game against Vanderbilt on November 20.
After the three-game homestand, Ole Miss hits the road to Starkville to take on State on November 27 in the annual Battle for the Golden Egg that will conclude the regular season.
Each SEC team will play eight conference football games to include six games against division opponents and two games against non-division opponents. One of the non-division opponents is a permanent annual opponent (Ole Miss’ is Vanderbilt) and the other non-division opponent rotates each year.
The 2021 season will culminate with the SEC Championship Game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday, Dec. 4. It will be the 30th edition of the game and the 28th in the city of Atlanta.
