Most Impactful Rebels for 2019: No. 45 Sincere David
OXFORD, Miss. — As we count down the days until the Ole Miss season opener against Memphis in the Liberty Bowl, we are releasing who we think the Top 50 Most Impactful Players will be for the Rebels this season. This series is a way for Ole Miss fans to learn more about players to keep an eye on this fall.
With 45 days before kickoff, coming in at No. 45…
Sincere David
Sincere David is a 6-foot, 330-pound defensive tackle from Jacksonville, Florida who flipped to Ole Miss from Colorado State on signing day in the class of 2017. Scout rated him the No. 7 defensive tackle in the state of Florida.

He redshirted during the 2017 season and made eight game appearances during 2018.
During the offseason, the Rebels moved to a 3-4 defensive scheme under newly hired defensive coordinator Coach Mike MacIntyre. David was limited during spring camp, but will likely earn a lot of minutes at nose tackle this fall if either Josiah Coatney or Benito Jones is moved to an end spot. Heading into fall camp, it looks as if Coatney will move outside.
Earlier this year, David performed incredibly well in some of the strength categories under the guidance of strength and conditioning Coach Paul Jackson. Coach Jackson recorded David with a team best 435-pound bench press, along with the second highest number in squats with 580-pounds, and the fourth-best power clean on the team at 340-pounds. He could be a strong force to reckon with at nose tackle if he can stay healthy for the Rebels.
Top Ole Miss Bench Pressers
Sincere David | DT | 435 pounds
Eli Johnson | C | 400 pounds
Ben Brown | G | 400 pounds
Tariqious Tisdale | DE | 380 pounds
Charles Wiley | DE/OLB | 380 pounds
Lawson Stockett | OLB | 370 pounds
Qaadir Sheppard | OLB | 370 pounds
David makes this Top 50 Most Impactful list, in part, because of his potential to be a key component of the defense. If he can prove to be a rotational player at nose tackle, it will allow the defense to be more flexible up front. Additionally, the defensive line will lose seniors Austrian Robinson, Coatney, and Jones after this season, so it would be very beneficial for the 2020 Rebels if the redshirt sophomore David has a breakout season this fall.
