Ole Miss right guard Jordan Sims named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week

Following his outstanding play in the Rebels’ 45-14 win over No. 11 Georgia, Ole Miss right guard Jordan Sims was named Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week as announced by the league office Monday.

The sophomore from Homewood, Alabama helped Ole Miss amass 510 total yards of offense in the win over the Bulldogs Saturday. Sims and the offensive line only gave up one sack against Georgia and converted all four of their red-zone attempts in the victory.

Sims is the first Rebel honored this season with an SEC weekly award this season.

Chad Kelly on Jordan Sims:

At Monday’s press conference, quarterback Chad Kelly commented on the biggest difference in Sims from last year to this.

He got quicker. He doesn’t let anyone come through freely. He’s able to move his feet even faster than he was last year.
