Ole Miss lands 4-star Army All-American QB Matt Corral
Ole Miss picked up a huge 2018 commitment Thursday night in Matt Corral, the nation’s No. 3 ranked pro-style quarterback from Long Beach Poly in California.

Tom Loy of 247Sports reports that Corral is shutting down his recruitment to commit to Matt Luke and the Rebels. Offensive coordinator Phil Longo recruited Corral, and he and Luke conducted an in-home visit with Corral Thursday that seems to have sealed the deal.
“A lot played into this. Coach Matt Luke is a family-oriented guy,” Corral told Loy.
“That offense will help me show off my talents on the biggest stage. Plus, and to top it all off, this is the SEC West.“

Corral, who flipped from Florida to the Rebels, is a U.S. Army All-American and listed as the No. 60 overall player in the nation, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is also ranked as the No 8 prospect in California from the class of 2018.
Sources say Corral has canceled his scheduled official visit to Florida this weekend and will sign his National Letter of Intent with the Rebels next Wednesday. Loy indicates that he expects Corral to participate in the Army Bowl next month and then head to Oxford as an early enrollee at Ole Miss.
Corral was being recruited by some of the top schools in the country and had offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, USC, Arizona State, Michigan, UCLA, Texas A&M, and Miami, to name a few. Before he committed to Florida, Corral was a longtime USC commit.
In his senior season, Corral completed 146 of 235 passes for 2,495 yards and 29 touchdowns. Over the course of his high school career, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound signal caller has thrown for over 10,000 yards and 100 touchdowns.
