Ole Miss head coach Matt Insell announced Wednesday that Drew Landers has been hired as Coordinator of Basketball Operations.
“I’ve known Drew for a long time and he’s someone I have a lot of respect for,” said Insell. “His work ethic, drive, passion and enthusiasm for the game of women’s basketball are what we want around our program, and we’re happy to have him here.”
Landers, a graduate of Ole Miss, returns to Oxford after serving as a video coordinator with the University of Virginia women’s basketball team during the 2016-2017 season. He is the son of long-time Georgia women’s basketball coach Andy Landers. Prior to joining the UVA staff, Landers also worked for the Orange Bowl committee where he managed the volunteer program for the bowl.
“I am extremely appreciative of the opportunity to return to my alma mater and to work with such a talented and dynamic coaching staff,” Landers said.
“I appreciate the confidence Coach Insell has in my ability to help him, his staff and especially the student athletes achieve at the highest level. I look forward to working with all of the Ole Miss family.”
