Rebel Walk interviews from Ole Miss Media Day (Video)

Ole Miss Football held its annual Media Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in the Manning Center.

The Rebel Walk’s Evelyn Vanpelt attended Media Day and had a chance to sit down with offensive linemen Aaron Morris and Justin Bell; defensive end Marquis Haynes; defensive backs C.J. Hampton and Tee Shepard; and, wide receivers coach Grant Heard.

Senior LG Aaron Morris explains how he lost so much weight this offseason and how he feels about playing again following his second knee surgery.

Fellow senior offensive lineman Justin Bell discussed what he feels is the biggest difference to now from when he arrived on campus as a freshman.

Sophomore defensive end Marquis Haynes talked about what he did during the offseason to become even better than he was as a freshman last season.

Junior cornerback Tee Shepard discussed the mental toughness needed for the corner position, how he feels being a fan favorite, and what he will do when he finally gets to set foot on the field in Vaught-Hemingway for his first game.

Sophomore defensive back C.J. Hampton discussed what leadership means to him and reacted to learning that former Rebels Senquez Golson and Cody Prewitt expect him to be a leader on this year’s defense.

Wide Receivers coach Grant Heard spoke in depth about his current wide receivers, the top-notch talent Ole Miss is now attracting, what his feelings were when Laquon Treadwell suffered his horrific injury last season against Auburn, and the leadership of Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze.
