Five Rebels named preseason All-American by Athlon

The 2015-16 college football season is still two months away, but Ole Miss players are already garnering plenty of preseason attention. Five Rebels—all juniors—were named preseason All-Americans by Athlon Sports.

Wide receiver Laquon Treadwell and offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil represented Ole Miss as first-team offense selections.

On the defensive side, tackle Robert Nkemdiche and defensive back Tony Conner also received first-team honors. Tight end Evan Engram was named a second-team selection.

The Rebels join defending national champion Ohio State as the only two schools to have four first-team selections by Athlon Sports.

Both Phil Steele and Sporting News named two Ole Miss players first-team All-Americans. Steele listed Tunsil and Engram, while Sporting News went with Tunsil and Nkemdiche.
